‘We Love You’ — Deion Sanders Sends Heartfelt Message to Wife of Late Colorado Writer After Tragic Passing
CU football head coach Deion Sanders, or Coach Prime, watches his team warm up before the game against CSU in the Rocky Mountain Showdown at Canvas Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024, in Fort Collins, Colo. Colorado football head coach Deion Sanders has maintained a tense, adversarial relationship with the local media since arriving in Boulder to lead the Buffaloes.
Coach Prime has sparred with local beat reporters on several occasions, restricted player access, and staged viral press-conference standoffs. But there are moments when Sanders shows affection for reporters. On Saturday, he showed his love and support to the family of the late Colorado reporter Adam Munsterteiger, who died Tuesday night from undisclosed health conditions.
Deion Sanders Shows Support to Adam Munsterteiger’s Family Sanders offered words of encouragement to Liz Munsterteiger, who wrote a long tweet on X detailing what she went through during her husband’s recent health struggles. Adam had served as BuffStampede’s publisher since 2003 before his tragic passing. She explained that they “never wanted to burden anyone” and admitted that the couple “took a lot of misplaced pride in not asking for help.
” She added that “he was taken from this world much too soon,” and urged everyone who knew Adam to share any stories they may have about him. “Those words have brought me, the kids, and our whole family so much comfort,” Liz Munsterteiger said . She also shared the family’s GoFundMe page , which has already raised nearly $23,000 at the time of publication.
Sanders responded with an affectionate message to Liz and her family. “We Love you and we appreciate u. We got u!
