Foscue leads the Rangers' road trip in both hits and mistakes on the basepaths.

He's also cost them more potential opportunities on the base paths than anyone else in that same span. Foscue has been picked off at first base twice in the club's last seven games. The two instances — first against the Houston Astros last week and again against the Los Angeles Angels in Friday's series opener at Angels Stadium — came in critical moments.

He was picked off at first base in the eighth inning of what was then a one-run game against the Astros, and against the Angels, he was picked off by left-handed pitcher Brent Suter in the sixth inning of what was then a two-run game. The Rangers lost both contests. "I feel terrible about it again," Foscue told The Dallas Morning News Saturday afternoon.

"I've just got to learn from it. I don't really have a reason why it happened. It just happened really fast for me.
