2027 NFL Draft: Wide receiver prospect watchlist

Yahoo Sports

College wide receivers get better every year and 2026 is shaping up to be one of the best classes ever.

Every year the wide receivers who come from the ranks of college football into the NFL are better and more athletic than the group before. Wide receivers are almost always the best athletes on the team and the NFL knows they can never have enough good ones. We are looking ahead to the start of the college football season and based on last year's film and our notes, we have 10 guys we will be keeping a very close eye on.

As of now, Ohio State's Jeremiah Smith is our top prospect and the only clear-cut first-round player on this list but we won't be shocked if four or five of them end up in the first round in the 2027 NFL Draft. 1 - Jeremiah Smith - Ohio State 2 - Omarion Hampton - Arizona State 3 - Cam Coleman - Texas 4 - Ryan Coleman-Williams - Alabama 5 - Mario Craver - Texas A&M 6 - Eric Singleton Jr. - Florida 7 - Ryan Wingo - Texas 8 - Charlie Becker - Indiana 9 - Wyatt Young - Oklahoma State 10 - Junior Sherrill - Vanderbilt There are two big sleepers in this group we think have a chance to push Smith to be the top receiver.

One is Alabama's Ryan Coleman-Williams and the other is Indiana's Charlie Becker. Coleman-Williams looked like he was Smith's equal two years ago but backslid in 2025. He has vowed to shut out the noise and focus on football this season.

Becker worked in the shadow of Omar Cooper Jr. and Elijah Sarratt last year but is poised to be a star in 2026. This article originally appeared on Draft Wire: 2027 NFL Draft: Wide receiver prospect watchlist
