Three athletes find spots on podium during PIAA track and field
PIAA track and field action has wrapped up. Check out which local athletes finished with medals.
SHIPPENSBURG — Four Fulton County athletes and a relay team competed on Day 2 of the PIAA Track and Field Championships, Saturday, May 23, at Shippensburg University's Seth Grove Stadium. Southern Fulton sophomore Julia Madison led the way, finishing with a bronze medal in the girls 2A 800-meter. She turned in a time of 2:15.

"My parents, my coaches and everyone around me always tell me, 'You need to take your wins. ' I think in this moment I will take the win because I got on the podium. I didn't get the PR that I wanted.
I ran hard and I really tried. I got third and I still have junior and senior year, so I am excited. If I can do it now, I can definitely do it then.
