Bayern were forced to bide their time and it came in the second half as they romped to an ultimately comfortable 3-0 victory.

Board member for sport Max Eberl was delighted at not just the victory, but also the way it crowned a successful 2025/26 season. “The whole season was exceptional. Winning the double was well-deserved,” Eberl stated, as captured by Bayern’s official website .

“The cup is coming back to Munich – the crowning achievement of a fantastic season. It’s simply fitting that he [Harry Kane] decided the game with a hat trick. It was a very intense cup match, which was very physical in the first half.

In the second half, we were clinical. Throughout the season, we’ve had games where we had to overcome obstacles, where we were behind or had to play with ten men. This game reflected all of that.
