San Jose Sharks Announce They'll Host "Pro Women's Hockey Summer Tour" Featuring PWHL Players
The San Jose Sharks are hosting a trio of clinics and events to grow the girls' and women's game in California featuring PWHL players for their "Pro Women's Hockey Summer Tour."
With professional women's hockey coming to California next season with PWHL San Jose entering the PWHL as the league's 12th franchise , the San Jose Sharks are continuing their own support in growing girls' and women's hockey in the state. Hosted by the Youth Hockey and Fan Development team of the San Jose Sharks, the Sharks will their "Pro Women's Hockey Summer Tour" to San Jose, Oakland, and Fresno, including special appearances from PWHL players. "Designed for players ages 8–14, this high-energy day on the ice features skills clinics, fun challenges, and interactive sessions led by special guests from women’s professional hockey," the Sharks wrote about the events.
Each will include on-ice sessions, followed by an off-ice question and answer period with members of the PWHL, including Boston Fleet netminder and Olympic gold medalist Aerin Frankel, Seattle Torrent forward Brooke Bryant, and Montreal Victoire defender Kelly-Ann Nadeau. The events will take place: May 30 - Sharks Ice San Jose w/ Kelly-Ann Nadeau (Montreal Victoire) June 20- Oakland Ice Center w/ Brooke Bryant (Seattle Torrent) August 14 - Gateway Ice Center Fresno w/ Aerin Frankel (Boston Fleet)
