Arkansas softball vs Duke Game 2 delayed due to weather
Another weather delay. Game 2 between Arkansas softball and Duke will not start on time.
First pitch in Game 2 of the Fayetteville Super Regional between Arkansas softball and Duke will be delayed by weather. Arkansas announced the delay at 3:40 p. m.
CT. The game was originally scheduled to start at 4 p. m.
This is the second consecutive day the Razorbacks ย (46-11) and Blue Devilsย (43-16) are dealing with a weather delay. Game 1 hit a four-hour pause during the top of the second, and the Hogs eventually exploded for a 14-5 win in five innings. Arkansas needs one more win to reach its first Women's College World Series in program history.
If Duke evens the series, the two teams will play an if-necessary Game 3 on Sunday. Duke has some experience with its back against the wall this postseason. The Blue Devils were run-ruled by Arizona during their second game at the Durham Regional, but they rallied with three straight wins and a doubleheader sweep over the Wildcats to secure a date with Arkansas.
