Throughout the 2025-26 NBA playoffs, former Duke guard Jared McCain has been quite the surprise. Off the bench, McCain has drilled 19 3-pointers in 10 playoff games and led Oklahoma City to a huge Game 3 victory Friday after scoring 24 points. Following Friday's game, two-time reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander addressed McCain's impact, even admitting to being surprised himself.
When asked if he envisioned McCain playing a huge role, he said , "At first no. But after the first couple of games, yeah. It just oozes confidence.
