According to insider Mark Kaboly, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Michael Pittman is being underestimated heading into the 2026 NFL season.

The Pittsburgh Steelers almost completely reinvented their receiving corps this offseason, trading for veteran wideout Michael Pittman Jr. โ€” but one respected insider believes he's being sorely overlooked. On Friday, Steelers insider Mark Kaboly claimed that Pittman is being somewhat underestimated, based on his own talent and how he'll help DK Metcalf in 2026.

โ€œI think people underestimate what [Pittman] is gonna be able to bring,โ€ Kaboly said via 93. 7 The Fan . โ€œNot only what he can do, but what he can help Metcalf do, because you can see Metcalf still has a ton of talent and can be a game changer when heโ€™s not bracketed constantly.

I think that alone will be good. โ€ Pittman, who was drafted by the Colts with the 34th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, caught 485 passes for 5,254 receiving yards and 25 touchdowns in 95 games during his six-season stint with Indianapolis. Despite the additions this offseason, Pittsburgh's wide receiver room continues to be doubted, but Pittman's 2026 impact will play a huge part in silencing the naysayers of the Aaron Rodgers-led offense.
