Going through some light shooting in pregame warmups, Jalen Williams should be sadly used to this routine. He plays a handful of games, looks awesome and then re-injures his hamstring and returns all the way back to square one. For the fourth time in five months, Williams has sustained a hamstring injury.
Two on each leg. The first two were on his right in the regular season. And these last two have been on his left in the NBA playoffs.
You can't help but think there's a level of connectivity there. Perhaps some overcompensation as he tries to help out in their back-to-back title ambitions. The latest injury happened in OKC's Game 2 win over the San Antonio Spurs .
After looking like their best player in Game 1, Williams sustained a hamstring injury after the first quarter. His status remains strategically ambiguous, but that's rooted in gamesmanship as the Thunder don't want to reveal their hand in the 2026 Western Conference Finals. For now, Williams is dealing with hamstring soreness.
