Rob Gronkowski's reason for why Buffalo fans constantly hate on him

Patriots legend Rob Gronkowski is a native New Yorker, but he isn't feeling much love from fans in Buffalo.

Former New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is not feeling loved in Buffalo. Yet, as a native New Yorker, he considered joining the Buffalo Sabres ' "Blade Gang" for an outing during the team's second round series against the Montreal Canadiens in the NHL playoffs. The Sabres went on to lose the series in heartbreaking fashion.

Gronkowski ultimately didn't participate in the festivities during the series, and he had a good reason for it during his recent appearance on Spittin' Chiclets on Netflix . "I don't really got that much love in Buffalo. I really don't," Gronkowski said.

"I saw some of the comments on Instagram under my interview and everything that I did, and a lot of Buffalonians hate on me, which is fine, which is understandable. Basically, I just got inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame first ballot, and itโ€™s probably because I played the Buffalo Bills 10 times in my career. "Just let alone my stats versus the Buffalo Bills, so I understand why they don't like me.

So if anything, if I do join the Blade Gang, I can be that dummy, and everyone just tries to come up to me and try to [expletive] deck me, and I just lay everyone out and give them the wood. " If anything, this just shows how deep the rivalry goes between the Patriots and Bills. It's a rivalry that extends beyond the NFL.
