๐ฅ Maeda does it again as Celtic move towards cup final win and the double It's very much a case of David vs. Goliath at Hampden Park as second-tier Dunfermline somehow look to stop Celtic from winning the Scottish Cup final and completing yet another double. They came inches away from a shock lead before reality struck.
In the ninth minute, a long ball was not dealt with by the champions and led to Alistair Johnston knocking the ball past Viljami Sinisalo and towards goal. If not for Liam Scales' brilliant recovery and clearance off the line, Neil Lennon would have been celebrating taking the lead against the side he won the cup eight times with as a player and manager. Instead, less than 10 minutes later, he was behind to Martin O'Neill - the man who brought him to Celtic Park in 2000 - as Daizen Maeda continues his incredible finish to the season.
Again, it was a long ball that did most of the work and the Japanese applied a fantastic finishing touch for an eighth goal in his last six games. The double looks as good as done with Arne Engels rifling in a second goal from distance just before the break. Can Dunfermline do anything to stop Celtic winning a 43rd cup?
