Q&A With 4 Star Husky Safety Target
Happy Saturday Husky fans. The Huskies are about to kick off their first batch of official visits next weekend, but before we dive into that tomorrow I was able to catch up with one of the top defensive back prospects on the Huskies board recently. 4 star composite safety Jayden Walk-Green from Corona Centennial HS, CA has been one of the top safeties the Huskies have been after and they are battling a handful of schools like ASU, and UCLA.
Listed at 5’11” and around 180 pounds Walk-Green has a knack for making plays on the ball and last season he totaled 10 interceptions last season and 125 total tackles. He’s set to visit UW on June 5th. UWDP: UW has been recruiting you for a while.
What is your impression of the staff and the university? My impression of the staff has been really positive. They’ve been genuine and consistent throughout the recruiting process, and I can tell they care about building relationships with players.
The university itself stands out because of the combination of academics, athletics . UWDP: It sounds like you may try and play baseball at the school you commit to. Is that something you are looking at?
It’s definitely something I’m considering. Baseball has been a big part of my life, and if the opportunity is there to compete in both sports at the next level. UWDP: Besides UW what other schools are you looking at?
