NBA executives advise first-round prospect to return to school
Once ranked as a top-two prospect in high school, Koa Peat has been advised by NBA executives to return to school for another season.
Following the 2026 NBA Draft Combine, basketball analyst Jeff Goodman interviewed 10 NBA executives, asking their opinions on whether or not certain prospects should remain in the NBA Draft or return to school for another season. Of the results , the responses concerning Koa Peat may have been the most surprising. Between the 10 executives, seven said Peat should return to school, while only three said the Arizona Wildcats forward should enter into the draft.
Last season Peat averaged an impressive 14. 1 points, 5. 6 rebounds, 2.
6 assists and 0. 7 blocks as a freshman. This comes as a shock to many, as Peat was once ranked as a No.
2 prospect in high school. Even after a mediocre combine performance, Peat has remained a consensus first-round pick in many recent NBA mock drafts due to his frame and athleticism. With the decision deadline a few days away, Peat's future will soon be revealed.
