Giants lose Roy Robertson-Harris to season-ending injury

Roy Robertson-Harris has been ruled out for the 2026 season.

The New York Giants received more bad news on Friday. The team announced that defensive lineman Roy Robertson-Harris tore an Achilles tendon and is out for the rest of the season. This is a huge loss for the team, which already lost Dexter Lawrence in a trade to the Cincinnati Bengals.

Robertson-Harris was on the second and final season of a two-year deal worth $9. 25 million. He started 17 games for New York last season and had 35 tackles (three for a loss) and six quarterback hits.

The Giants were busy restructuring their defense around Robertson-Harris, and Giants head coach John Harbaugh was pretty excited about it. “I thought we did a good job of kind of responding to the situation as it unfolded, and now we feel really good about our group in there. It looks good to me.

I'm excited about it. I think we have the guys we need,” Harbaugh said a few weeks ago. This news comes on the heels of reports that wide receiver Malik Nabers' rehab is not progressing as quickly as planned.
