Alain Prost Injured in Violent Swiss Home Invasion for F1 Legend
Switzerland is usually a safe haven for racing royalty. That changed this week. Alain Prost just survived a horrific home invasion.
A gang of armed thieves targeted the four-time F1 World Champion at his family villa. The break-in sparked a massive police hunt across two countries. It also left the seventy-one-year-old racing icon battered and bruised.
As per Blick (Swiss outlet), the attack happened early Tuesday morning. At roughly 8:30 AM, masked intruders broke into his house. The property sits right on Lake Geneva in Nyon.
Alain Prost and his family were home. Things turned violent fast, and the men assaulted him directly. Prost suffered a head injury during the sudden clash.
Then, the gang turned their sights on the rest of the family. They threatened them until one of his sons caved. The thieves forced him to unlock a secure safe.
