Wisconsin not on Kager Knueppel's initial interest list

When looking at Kager Knueppel's initial interest list, the Wisconsin Badgers are notably absent. According to Rivals' Joe Tipton, Knueppel is far from set on choosing Duke like his brother, Kon, did a few years ago. That said, he's currently looking at the Blue Devils, Purdue, and Michigan as potential destinations.

The main takeaway from Knueppel's discussion with Tipton is the fact that he said , "Itโ€™s not just 100% Duke. Itโ€™s my own path, so Iโ€™ll see other schools and have interest in them. โ€ The Wisconsin native added ( subscription required ), "A winning program, thatโ€™s the biggest thing.

A good coaching staff, good relationships with them, a good relationship with the players, and seeing how the roster is set up. โ€ As it stands, he told Tipton he's aiming to make a decision around July. Knowing he's only visited with Purdue so far, that would expedite the process, one that seems to be nowhere near where Wisconsin wants it to be.
