2027 Summer Scouting Report: Keon Sabb, S, Alabama
Is Alabama's Keon Sabb the top safety in the country? Read his 2027 summer scouting report for some insight.
As the 2027 summer scouting report series rolls on, we stay in the secondary and transition to safeties. While this position group may not be as loaded as cornerback, there is good value to be had. One of those value players in question is Alabama's Keon Sabb.
Sabb played his first year at Michigan, helping them win a National Championship, before transferring to Alabama in 2024. What does his report look like? Let's talk about it.
Height: 6'1" Weight: 204 lbs Recruiting rank: Four-star recruit, no. 10 Safety nationally Hometown: Bradenton, Florida Games watched: Florida State, Vanderbilt, Indiana Keon Sabb uses every inch of his frame, punching well above his weight in run support. His long arms allow him to disrupt passing lanes and break up passes.
A natural center fielder, Sabb has great spatial awareness in the deep parts of the field during zone coverage. But, he can also play down in the box as an Isaiah Simmons-esque linebacker/safety hybrid. Not often fooled by double moves towards the top of routes.
