Fox was returning, missing Games 1 and 2 due to a right ankle injury.

On Friday, he suffered a blow to the same ankle after OKC’s Lu Dort landed on his leg as the two dove for a loose ball. The incident occurred late in the third quarter. Fox immediately looked to foul one of the Thunder’s players so he could exit.

He seemed in a great deal of pain and limped off to the bench. Here’s the video: De’Aaron Fox had 13 points, five rebounds and four assists in 25 minutes. He shot 6 of 11, including 1 of 5 from 3-point range.

With a box plus-minus of +6, Fox was the second-best player for the Spurs behind Victor Wembanyama. When Fox left, the Spurs trailed by nine. The Thunder extended their lead to 11 entering the fourth quarter.
