N.H. track: Exeter boys, girls sweep Seacoast Championship
Both the Exeter High School boys and girls track teams won the Seacoast Championship on Friday at Exeter High School.
EXETER - In front of their home fans, the Exeter High School boys and girls track teams each won the Seacoast Championship on Friday, May 22. In the 13-team girls field, Exeter scored 156. 5 points, easily beating second-place Oyster River (94).
Portsmouth (88. 5), Coe-Brown (63), Timberlane (44), Dover (32), Spaulding (20), Winnacunnet (20), Sanborn (18), Somersworth (8), Portsmouth Christian (4), St. Thomas Aquinas (2) and Raymond (1) rounded out the field.
In the 14-team boys field, Exeter edged out rival Portsmouth, 87-83 for first-place honors. Spaulding (76. 5), Oyster River (66), Dover (61), Coe-Brown (57.
5), Somersworth (35), Winnacunnet (35), Sanborn (19), Raymond (16), Newmarket (7), St. Thomas Aquinas (7), Portsmouth Christian (5) and Timberlane (3) rounded out the field. Exeter girls quartet sets meet record Exeter's 4x400-meter relay team, consisting of Emma Roeder, Madie Poteet, Lexi Paterna, Izzie Bremer, set a meet record in a first-place time of 4 minutes, 01 seconds.
