Aiden Skari, Layna Hoffer returning to Jamestown as State placers
May 22—BISMARCK — Layna Hoffer's name came up in a conversation with Jamestown High School co-head track and field coach Mike Dietz. "(She) has been excellent lately," Dietz said. Hoffer certainly did her coach proud on Friday.
The Blue Jay junior earned a third place finish in high jump during Day 2 of the 2026 NDHSAA State Track and Field Championships. Hoffer jumped 5 feet, 3 inches tying Camryn Ulmer of Mandan and Fargo North's Haylie Hahnert. Aiden Skari was Jamestown's top performer for the boys team on Friday.
The junior placed fifth in triple jump with a mark of 41 feet, 11 inches. State Placers May 22 Class A Girls 1600 1. Ruby Ihmels, Century, 4:57.
