Division II and IV track and field athletes punch tickets to regionals
Regional track and field tournament berths have been claimed by several area athletes after the completion of the Division II and IV district meets on May 22. Let's meet those athletes who will be representing North Central Ohio in the next round of the track and field postseason. Lexington's Latrell Hughes won a Division II district championship in the 800-meter run with a blistering time of 1:51. 88. Teammate Trevor Reed is also moving on in the event after taking third with a 1:56.
02. The Lexington distance duo of John Bartone and Gage Devaney are headed to the regional meet in the 1,600-meter run. Bartone took third in the district meet with a 4:27.
