The Los Angeles Dodgers continue to struggle with putting together consistent hitting performances from game to game, and Friday’s game vs. the Brewers was only the latest example. The Dodgers lost 5-1 to the Brewers, a game where the team always looked like a long shot to win.
Los Angeles only totaled three hits compared to the nine hits from Milwaukee. A lot of the damage from the Brewers came from the first inning, where Justin Wrobleski struggled. Shohei Ohtani was the best hitter on the squad with a hit and a walk, alongside a sacrifice fly. It was good to see him have a good amount of success, even if the team could not do the same. The only other two hitters to get hits were Teoscar Hernandez and Dalton Rushing, who ended his 0-for-19 hitless streak.
