Could The New Orleans Saints Send Alvin Kamara To Travis Ettiene's Former Team?
That would be quite the swap.
The New Orleans Saints weren't shy in free agency. Signing Travis Etienne to form a duo with Alvin Kamara in the backfield was an attempt to not only give Tyler Shough more to work with, but to make the offense more potent. Unfortunately, Kamara is 30 years old, which in running back years might as well be 55 years old according to some.
His money becomes guaranteed on June 1st and the lifelong Saint has been on record saying how excited he is to get to work with Etienne in Kellen Moore's offense. Bleacher Report has put a trade idea out for Kamara and it is quite the landing spot. But with the addition of Travis Etienne Jr. in free agency, it seems his days with the team may be numbered. Saints head coach Kellen Mooreย told reporters ย that New Orleans is nearing a decision on Kamara's future: "Part of the offseason process during Phase 3 is you're still going through a little bit of the building process, you're still finalizing some things, and so that comes with time.
We understand that during OTAs naturally there's different things popping up in Phase 3, but yeah, we're getting close. " At 30 years old and coming off an injury-marred season, Kamara isn't the player he once was. But there are NFL teams who could certainly use someone with his experience and resume.
