Early in his MLB career, Chris Taylor was a utility infielder for the Seattle Mariners who seemed like he might not last.

But then he went to the Los Angeles Dodgers , discovered a surprising power stroke and became a two-time World Series champion. It was quite the rise for Taylor, who also had an All-Star nod and an NLCS MVP on his ledger. That career ended Friday, when Taylor officially retired from baseball while playing at Triple-A in the Angels' organization.
