Waverly baseball advanced to the Section IV Class A Championship series, on Friday. The Wolverines powered past Chenango Valley in Game 3 of the semifinal series, earning a 14-3 victory in 6 innings. With their decisive game triumph, Waverly now moves one step closer to their 1st Section IV title since 2013.
On the other side of the bracket, Maine-Endwell took Game 3 from Owego 11-1, to clinch a spot in the championship series. The Spartans have won 5 of the past 6 Class A titles (2019-22, 2024-25), including a state championship in 2024. The championship series begins on Tuesday, May 26th at 5 p.
