Should the Nets take Nate Ament with No. 6 pick in 2026 NBA Draft?

Yahoo Sports

The Brooklyn Nets have been linked to Tennessee forward Nate Ament in the 2026 NBA Draft, per Yahoo! Sports' Kevin O'Connor.

The Brooklyn Nets did not get the result they wanted heading into the 2026 NBA Draft Lottery as they fell to the No. 6 pick in the draft from the No. 3 spot.

While there is speculation that Brooklyn could attempt to trade up in the draft, they will still have a decision to make come Jun. 23 if they remain at No. 6 and there's one player being linked to them.

"Multiple league sources have connected Brooklyn to Michigan center Aday Mara and Tennessee freshman forward Nate Ament," Kevin O'Connor wrote for Yahoo! Sports in his latest mock draft. Nets Wire has already covered what the prospect of taking Mara with the No.

6 pick looks like so it's time to evaluate what the pick could look like if Ament is available. "Nate Ament figures to land somewhere in the late-lottery or teens with a mix of perceived high-upside traits (positional size, shotmaking, defensive tools) and stats that make teams question his efficiency," Jonathan Wasserman wrote on Ament for Bleacher Report in his latest mock draft. Ament seems to be one of the players whose projected spot in the draft varies widely depending on the person doing the mock.
