Eddie Hearn Claims Conor Benn Offered $250K In Hush Money

(Photo by Alex Livesey/Getty Images) | Getty Images Things keep getting weirder and weirder between professional boxer, Conor Benn, and Matchroom Boxing promoter, Eddie Hearn. In case you forgot, Benn used to be part of Hearn’s management team and the two formed a close relationship over the last several years.
That’s before financial differences created a rift between the two and left an opportunity for Benn to be poached by Dana White and Zuffa Boxing . Hearn was left in the dark during Zuffa Boxing’s negotiations with Benn and felt betrayed by his long-time fighter . In turn, Hearn has gone to battle with White and Zuffa Boxing in the public eye.
The boxing promoter has even been in talks to fight White inside of the ring . That will obviously never happen, but it shows how volatile this situation has become. It doesn’t help that Benn signed a lucrative extension with Zuffa Boxing this past April, adding insult to injury for an already heart-broken Hearn.
Earlier this week, Hearn revealed another strange layer to this whole ordeal. According to the boxing promoter, Benn reached out following his Zuffa signing and offered Hearn $250,000 to keep his mouth shut and refrain from saying anything negative. Hearn says he told Benn and his lawyer to both “f—k off,” as well as turning down a supposed invitation to become Benn’s special advisor.
Wild to say the least. Check it out below and let us know if you think Hearn is telling the truth! 🗣️ "𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗢𝗥 𝗕𝗘𝗡𝗡 𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗗 𝗠𝗘 $𝟮𝟱𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗧𝗢 𝗞𝗘𝗘𝗣 𝗠𝗬 𝗠𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗛 𝗦𝗛𝗨𝗧" 💰 😳 @EddieHearn makes a HUGE CLAIM about @ConorNigel and reacts to being offered a role in his team as a special advisor 👀 pic.
