Watch Texas A&M QB and transfer WR work out at Montgomery Bell Academy

•Yahoo Sports

Working out at Marcel Reed's former high school, the Texas A&M QB and transfer WR Isaiah Horton are putting the work in to develop chemistry.

Texas A&M's biggest hurdle entering the 2026 offseason was replacing star wide receiver KC Concepcion, who was selected 24th overall by the Cleveland Browns in the 2026 NFL Draft. With redshirt junior quarterback Marcel Reed back under center, the need for size at wide receiver was an absolute must, knowing that junior Mario Craver is only 5'9". Just weeks into the transfer portal period, former Alabama wide receiver Isaiah Horton transferred to Texas A&M after several blue-blood programs reached out, and at 6'4", combined with his already established relationship with Marcel Reed, going back to their high school playing days in Tennessee, the Aggies are well equipped to match last season's passing yards average.

After the annual Maroon & White Game, Texas A&M's revamped roster, now made up of 17 transfer additions and 26 signees from the 2026 recruiting class, is more than talented enough to make a run back to the College Football Playoff, while Marcel Reed, Isaiah Horton, senior safety Dalton Brooks, and senior tight end and co-captain Micah Riley are coming off their three weeks training with the D1 Training staff. On Friday, thanks to 247Sports Aggie insider Tony Catalina for sharing the video, Reed and Horton were seen working out together at Montgomery Bell Academy, where the Aggie starting QB starred for four seasons before committing to Ole Miss, and eventually flipping to Texas A&M. This connection will be critical, especially during SEC play, as Isaiah Horton will also serve as the program's No.
