FAMU baseball's potential SWAC Tournament title game clincher postponed
FAMU baseball will have to wait to play its SWAC Tournament semifinals game, in which a win would advance it to the championship game. Here’s why.
Florida A&M baseball’s Southwestern Athletic Conference Tournament semifinals game will have to wait. Originally scheduled for Friday, May 22, at 7 p. m.
Eastern Time, the Rattlers (29-22) will now meet the winner of Southern and Texas Southern on Saturday, May 23, at 1 p. m. Eastern Time.
The Southern-Texas Southern game was also moved from Friday afternoon to an evening start at 8 p. m. The SWAC Tournament, played at Birmingham, Alabama’s Rickwood Field, has been affected by rain during the five-day playoff.
FAMU has gone perfect in the double-elimination bracket, beating Texas Southern 8-6 in the opening round and then defeating Southern 15-6 behind a hitting masterclass by All-SWAC First Teamer Jackson McKenzie .
