NY Mets announce lineup vs Marlins for today with full rookie outfield
The Mets will line up with all three of their rookies playing in the outfield against the Marlins at Friday night at loanDepot Park in Miami.
In a hard-fought four-game series against the Nationals, the Mets grabbed a pair of wins in two separate ways. In the opener, they rode an offensive outburst in extra innings to storm away with a nine-run victory. They bookended the series with a narrow 2-1 win behind a bounceback effort from David Peterson and dominant showing from four members of the bullpen.
Now, the Mets will look to carry over those positive results when they open a three-game series against the Marlins at 7:10 p. m. on Friday at loanDepot Park.
It is the first meeting between the two sides this season, with the Mets entering with a 22-28 mark and the Marlins a half-game back at 22-29. The Marlins have dropped three straight games.
