Olentangy Orange baseball player Xavier Aguila was selected the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center Boys Athlete of the Week for May 11-17. Aguila pitched five innings, allowing one run on three hits while striking out five, and went 2 for 4 at the plate with a home run and two RBIs in a 4-3 win over Olentangy Liberty. Aguila received 74.

4% of the vote and was followed by Olentangy Liberty track and field athlete Carter Sullivan, who received 25. 2% of the vote, and Olentangy tennis player Aarush Andey. Sullivan won the OCC Central in long jump by over 2 feet with a meet record and school record of 23’10.

5”. Andey went 5-0 at the Gahanna sectional, defeating senior teammate and top seed Gavin Cheung 5-7, 7-5, 6-3 in the final. Andey was the third seed.
