It’s expansion time for Tracy McGrady’s Ones Basketball League as the one on one competition comes back for a revamped 2026 season.
McGrady, 47, founded the the league back in 2022, and now it’s returning this year with a bigger structure called OBL Battle of the Cities. The tournament officially relaunched on May 15 and is scheduled to continue through early July with a stronger focus on one on one matchups and city based competition. This relationship includes athlete support and digital content as well as live events connected to the league throughout the summer. The format itself remains the biggest draw around the league. Every possession becomes an isolated matchup with nowhere to hide defensively and no teammates stepping in to slow momentum swings.
That creates a faster style of basketball where conditioning, focus, and recovery become easier to notice over the course of a game. McGrady has also brought several recognizable NBA figures into the project through coaching, ownership, and mentorship roles. Vince Carter, Tim Hardaway Sr.
