Haddonfield wrestling coach Eric Hamrick steps down
Eric Hamrick, who led Haddonfield wrestling to its first sectional title, has stepped down after seven successful seasons.
After taking the Haddonfield Memorial High School wrestling program to new heights, Eric Hamrick has stepped down as head coach. Hamrick guided the Haddons for seven seasons, compiling a 116-54 record which included the school’s first-ever sectional wrestling title in 2023. Haddonfield went 20-6 last winter, the most wins in a single-season under Hamrick.
In 2023, Haddonfield knocked off rival West Deptford, 33-28, to capture the South Jersey Group 2 title. Hamrick was a standout wrestler during his scholastic days at Collingswood. He won a program-record 138 bouts at the time of his graduation in 2011.
He later wrestled for Springfield College. Hamrick was hired as Haddonfield’s head coach before the 2019-20 season. His teams never had a losing season during his tenure.
