The Florida State Seminoles are engaged in a battle with Virginia Tech for 2027 three-star cornerback Romel Koon.

Florida State is working to build up its 2027 recruiting class after landing a commitment from three-star quarterback Logan Flaherty earlier this week. One of the top prospects they're pursuing is three-star cornerback Romel Koon out of Brentwood, Tennessee. The Seminoles have a strong contender for Koon as the Virginia Tech Hokies are also heavily involved, and they currently have the only crystal ball prediction to land him.

Each has an official visit with Koon in June. A major key as to why Florida State has positioned itself so well with Koon is his connection with the coaching staff. "I like coach Blue and coach Norvell," Koon said via Noles247 .

"Just the way they communicate with me and connect with me. " Koon received a scholarship offer from FSU last May. However, his first time visiting came last month.

Needless to say, the Seminoles did exactly what they needed to do in order for Koon to move them up his list. "Florida State definitely increased heavily on my list," said Koon in April . "I am loving the tribe and can't wait to get back up for an official visit.
