Controversial WR says Panthers' Jaycee Horn is the best CB he's faced
Panthers CB Jaycee Horn received quite the praise from a former (and controversial) teammate.
Diontae Johnson may not have been around Carolina Panthers cornerback Jaycee Horn for long, but he got enough of a look to realize how good his former teammate is. Johnson recently joined the Off The Clock podcast, hosted by safety Eddie Jackson and retired wideout Josh Bellamy. When talking about the best cornerbacks he's ever faced, the former second-team All-Pro went out of his way to praise Horn.

Horn and Johnson were teammates for part of the 2024 campaign, after the latter was acquired from the Pittsburgh Steelers that spring. But Johnson's stay in Carolina didn't prove to be a long one, as the Panthers shipped him back out right ahead of the trade deadline in October. Since then, Johnson has picked up brief ( and tumultuous ) stints with the Baltimore Ravens, Houston Texans and Cleveland Browns .
He's currently a free agent and hasn't played a meaningful down of NFL football since 2024. Meanwhile, Horn is fresh off the second Pro Bowl selection of his career in 2025—where he recorded five interceptions. Follow @ThePanthersWire on Twitter/X for more Panthers content.
