Analyst makes a bold statement regarding the Vikings QB situation

Yahoo Sports

The Vikings quarterback battle could have a major impact on the 2026 season for every team in the NFL.

The arrival of Kyler Murray has Vikings fans feeling a bit more excited about the offense and season as a whole in 2026. While there is a quarterback competition to unfold, the favorite in everyone's mind is Murray after seeing what they had in J. J.

McCarthy last year. Whoever wins is going to have to earn it, and as a result, could they have the Vikings poised for a potential Super Bowl run? Bleacher Report's Brad Gagnon believes the winner could be pushed enough to achieve that special feat.

He writes, "Kyler Murray and J. J. McCarthy successfully push each other, leading to one becoming a bona fide franchise quarterback as this otherwise balanced and talented team makes a Super Bowl run.

" It will seem like a bold statement to make, but is it far-fetched? This team got good enough quarterback play out of Sam Darnold to win 12 games, and a lot of that defense is still on the team but also older. If they get above-average play out of either quarterback, and some defenders take the next step like Dallas Turner and Jalen Redmond, then this could be a top team in the NFC.
