Weather forecast for Saturday at PIAA track is less than ideal

Yahoo Sports

The weather forecast for Day 2 of PIAA state track and field is less than ideal, to put it mildly.

Rain, wind and cold temps are in the forecast for the second day of the PIAA track and field championships at Shippensburg University. Accuweather. com is calling for a 98 percent chance of rain in Shippensburg on Saturday, May 23, with wind gusts up to 21-22 miles per hour.

The temperature will be cooler, between 51-55 degrees. Not ideal conditions for athletes, but there is little that officials can do, according to PIAA executive director Mark Byers. The high jump and pole vault event will be moved inside Saturday, and events might be contested during the scheduled lunch break.
