Wednesday to a training facility in Concord, North Carolina , where a caller told dispatch he had “an individual that’s shortness of breath, very hot, thinks he’s going to pass out, and he’s producing a little bit of blood, coughing up some blood. ” According to the audio, Busch was on the bathroom floor inside the complex while facility employees prepared for paramedics to arrive. The caller confirmed Busch was still conscious at that point, repeatedly telling dispatch, “He is awake.
He’s awake. He’s awake. ” He also asked responding crews to silence their sirens on approach and said he would wait outside at a side entrance to flag them down.
