Ty Simpson will get a front-row seat on one of the best teams in the NFL for his rookie season.

The Los Angeles Rams turned plenty of heads when they used the No. 13 overall pick in the NFL draft on quarterback Ty Simpson . While some questioned why L.

A. would take a quarterback with a veteran starter already in place, Simpson said he's focusing more on the chance to study under some of the best offensive minds and talents in football. Speaking with Gilberto Manzano of Sports Illustrated at the NFLPA Rookie Premiere, Simpson opened up about what it has been like to transition into an offense that features Matthew Stafford, Puka Nacua and Davante Adams.

“Just sitting there in the room with Matthew [Stafford], it’s super, super fun. It’s awesome,” Simpson said. “He’s just an A-plus guy, A-plus player.

I think the tape shows that, and then being there with Sean [McVay] and all my teammates, it’s really, really cool. ” The learning process extends far beyond just quarterback meetings. Simpson noted that he is actively watching how the team's elite pass-catchers operate, treating the opportunity to study Adams and Nacua as a masterclass in wide receiver play.
