Can this Eagles UDFA steal a roster spot? OTAs depth chart predictions
We're previewing the Eagles' tight end depth chart and roster spots ahead of next week's OTAs.
The Philadelphia Eagles will hold their first organized team activity (OTA) next week, giving every player on the 90-man roster an opportunity to impress Nick Sirianni and his staff. The Eagles will have six OTAs and two minicamp practices from May 26 to June 10. During that time, the 53-man roster — and depth chart — will begin to take shape ahead of training camp.
Here, we’re taking early, in-depth looks at every position ahead of OTAs and making predictions on who will eventually earn starting jobs, secure backup roles and get cut. We started off with the quarterbacks , wide receivers , defensive tackles and edge rushers . Now, let’s dive into the tight ends.
STARTERS: Dallas Goedert, Eli Stowers BACKUPS: Johnny Mundt, Dae’Quan Wright CUT: Grant Calcaterra, Cameron Latu, E. J. Jenkins, Stone Smartt The tight end position is interesting entering OTAs because Goedert and Stowers are the only ones with nailed-on roster spots.
Every other spot is up for grabs. Goedert, the 31-year-old veteran, is back on a one-year deal. He has chemistry with Jalen Hurts.
