Boost for Man Utd? Bayern not ‘actively’ pushing for £60m defender Bayern Munich are not actively pushing to sign Nathaniel Brown from Eintracht Frankfurt this summer, although the Bundesliga champions continue to monitor his situation closely. Brown joined Frankfurt from FC Nurnberg in January 2024 and has enjoyed a rapid rise since then, making over 70 appearances for the club while scoring seven goals.

The young left-back’s development has naturally attracted wider interest, with Manchester United and several Premier League clubs also linked with a move after his impressive performances over the past two seasons in Germany. Bayern Munich not actively pushing for Nathaniel Brown Christian Falk has exclusively told CFBayern Insider that while Bayern appreciate Brown’s profile, their interest has not progressed into anything concrete at this stage. Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krosche has built a reputation for negotiating lucrative deals with Premier League clubs, and the German side are hoping to command a similarly substantial fee for Brown.

The reported valuation, however, appears to be a major stumbling block, with Frankfurt said to want as much as £60. 5m for the defender. Falk said: “It is NOT TRUE: Bayern’s Munich’s interest in Nathaniel Brown is hot at the minute.

It’s true that Nathaniel Brown is of interest to Bayern but things have not concretely developed to a meaningful point. “FC Bayern are looking at him in a similar way to how they’re looking at Gvardiol. However, there is no offer there.

Frankfurt are themselves wondering why Bayern are not more concrete. One reason is that sporting director Markus Krösche, who’s a very clever man, is selling a lot of players to the Premier League for a lot of money. Omar Marmoush, for instance, went for big money to Man City.
