Should the New York Jets trade for EDGE Josh Sweat?

Organized Team Activities (OTAs) have begun around the league for roughly one-third of the teams. The New York Jets begin that phase of offseason workouts on May 27 . Others have already reported, and that process often welcomes buzzy news and rumors.

Some of that news is coming out of Arizona. Superstar pass rusher Josh Sweat did not report to the Cardinals , who have already held three OTA practice sessions. The crux of Sweat's unhappiness is currently unknown, per local insider Kyle Odegard .

If Sweat wants to be traded, the Jets should immediately consider making an offer. The 29-year-old stud pass rusher recorded a career-high 12. 0 sacks in 2025.

Sweat has been among the more consistent and impactful quarterback hunters around the NFL in recent seasons. Sweat's skill-set possesses some similarities to rookie No. 2 overall pick David Bailey as both a powerful and athletic pass rusher.
