Where does Auburn stand with 2028 defensive lineman Tyzon Swann after his successful visit?

One of the nation's top defensive line prospects from the 2028 recruiting cycle left his recent visit to Auburn impressed by what he experienced. Tyzon Swann, the No. 1 defensive lineman from the 2028 class from Indian Head, Maryland, was recently on campus for Big Cat Weekend, and Auburn quickly jumped up his board after the visit ended.

"Auburn is definitely up there. Auburn is definitely high on my end," Swann said via Christian Clemente of Auburn Undercover. "They're definitely a favorite — I love it here.

I don't want to leave, it's great. " Swann, who also plays basketball for Lackey High School in Maryland, is a dual-threat athlete who excels on both sides of the football. He logged 135 tackles, with 50 for a loss , and reeled in 8 catches for 143 yards and a score last season as a 10th grader.

Swann is a 6-foot-5, 245-pound defensive lineman who ranks No. 9 nationally in the 2028 recruiting class and is the top player at his position and in the state of Maryland. Auburn has had success recruiting Maryland in recent years, with six players on Auburn's 2026 roster residing from the state.
