Jeff Ulbrich on Falcons offseason moves, QB competition
NFL Network interviews Atlanta Falcons defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich
Everyone agrees that the Atlanta Falcons are talented offensively, they're just missing the final missing piece at quarterback to complete the puzzle. On the other side of the ball, Atlanta has a strong and deep secondary but otherwise this is one of the weakest units around the NFL. Nevertheless, the Falcons have managed to field an average defense, ranking 15th in yards allowed and 19th in scoring last season.
That's a huge credit to the work of defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich, who is on pace to get some head coaching interest next offseason if this unit continues to progress. Yesterday Ulbrich spoke with NFL Network about the league's Accelerator Program, as well as Atlanta's offseason moves and his role in helping to decide the Falcons' ongoing quarterback competition between Michael Penix Jr. and Tua Tagovailoa.
