UCLA coach Mick Cronin believes Duke's Amazon deal will fall through

Yahoo Sports

UCLA's head coach Mick Cronin expressed serious doubt that Michigan and Duke will play on Amazon Prime as scheduled in December.

Duke basketball turned heads this offseason, agreeing to a broadcasting deal with Amazon Prime Video that would showcase three high-profile college basketball matchups on the platform. Duke's opponents for those games are Gonzaga, UConn and defending national champions Michigan. However, despite the agreement, nothing has been made official quite yet, as other networks with broadcasting rights may force the deal to be nullified.

Recently, UCLA head coach Mick Cronin weighed in on Duke's potential matchup with Michigan. “No chance it goes through," he said. "Not when FOX has paid hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars for the rights.

” If the game were to be cancelled, it would rob college basketball fans of a thrilling rematch between the Wolverines and Blue Devils after the two sides were separated by just five points last February. That said, there's still a chance that Duke's scheduled games with UConn (Big East) and Gonzaga (WCC) may take place as scheduled.
