The push is on by Manchester City to complete a key signing before the World Cup As I wrote earlier this week , I believe that signing Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson is a must for Manchester City this summer. With Bernardo Silva leaving City when his contract expires and the Premier League evolving into a league where winning duels in midfield is vital, Anderson is the ideal player to bolster Manchester City’s midfield. The England international is exceptional in the physical side of the game, and in possession, he is an elite player in his own right.
It has now been reported that City have agreed to personal terms with Elliot Anderson. Also, another report indicates that City are pushing ahead with negotiations with Nottingham Forest to sign Elliot Anderson. Manchester City are seemingly now pushing to secure a big signing as quickly as possible in what looms as an important summer for the club.
All signs point to City accelerating their move to sign Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest. First of all, Nicolò Schira has reported that Manchester City have agree in principle personal terms with Elliot Anderson. Furthermore, Schira reports that City are now in talks with Nottingham Forest to reach an agreement to sign the England international this summer.
Following on from Nicolò Schira’s report, Graeme Bailey has provided a further update for TeamTalk on Manchester City’s bid to sign Elliot Anderson. Bailey also reports that talks between City and Nottingham Forest are actively underway over a deal that will see Elliot Anderson sign for City. Furthermore, Bailey reports that City are eager to complete the signing of Elliot Anderson ahead of this summer’s World Cup.
