Elgin dismiss manager Hale for 'gross misconduct'
Elgin City dismiss manager Allan Hale following "a finding of gross misconduct".
Allan Hale had been in charge of Elgin City since December 2023 [SNS] Elgin City have dismissed manager Allan Hale "with immediate effect after a finding of gross misconduct". The club had promoted assistant Stefan Laird to acting manager on 11 May, four days after suspending Hale. And the Scottish League 2 club said on Friday: "Following the conclusion of an internal investigation conducted in accordance with the clubs policies and procedures, we can confirm that the men's first-team manager has been dismissed with immediate effect after a finding of gross misconduct.
" Hale's suspension came after Elgin finished sixth in Scotland's fourth tier. He took charge in December 2023. The 38-year-old former Fraserburgh player previously managed Highland League clubs Huntly and Keith.
