Everton boss David Moyes gives update on Jack Grealish’s future amid injury recovery
Jack Grealish is facing an uncertain future as his loan spell at Everton comes to an end
David Moyes has affirmed Everton’s commitment to winger Jack Grealish , stating the club "will continue doing our best" for him as he rehabilitates from a broken bone in his foot. Grealish, who has been sidelined since mid-January, is unusually continuing his treatment with the Toffees rather than returning to parent club Manchester City, a common practice for long-term loan injuries. The 30-year-old has one year remaining on his contract, with Moyes indicating that future plans would be assessed in the summer.
"We’ve got a few plans in place. Finances will obviously play a big part in it so we will need to navigate round the best we can," Moyes said. "Obviously we like Jack a lot.
We’ve looked after Jack all the time since his injury. It’s looking in good order now, the surgeon speaks very well about it and thinks it’s healing greatly. “He is incredibly well liked inside and outside the building but ultimately he is not our player, he is Man City’s player. We’ve had him on loan for a year and I have to say we’ve enjoyed having him. " Grealish previously spent four years at City after signing for the club for £100 million from Aston Villa in 2021.
