To open a spot on the 40-man roster, righty Hurston Waldrep was transferred to the 60-day injured list.

In the minors this season, he’s logged six games, averaged . 333, and spent 30 innings behind the plate. The O’s designated him for assignment earlier this week, and the Braves jumped on the opportunity to replenish catchers while Drake Baldwin and Sean Murphy are both dealing with injury.
